The identity of whoever is responsible for originally producing these units has been lost to time. They are now self-perpetuating, self-replicating beings. The mechanism for their self-generating cells has yet to be reverse-engineered. Incredibly advanced science is at work behind their design.

The most rapidly replicated cells in their bodies. They produce Manifold fibers in large quantities on a daily basis. Needing to shear off the excess regularly. This means at least daily haircuts for all of them. Depending on the lower-half of their body's chassis, it may mean hourly haircuts are necessary. Only another Weaver unit can traverse these webs without getting stuck or lost. They are capable of compressing and spanning great distances. While the webbing is capable of halting movement from a non-weaver object or body - the Weavers themselves are capable of highly-accelerated movement across the webs.

Working a bit like portals. Entering point-A of a web location leads to a kind of pocket dimension of nothing but endless Manifold webs. The general practice is for them to create several Anchor locations. Locations where a portal Web is left and maintained, which they can easily travel back to so long as the web is not destroyed. They are able to travel at high speeds in the Manifold sub-space, but it is not teleportation. There appears to be livable atmosphere within the Manifold subspace, but no food or water. It is a common move for them to take enemies into the subspace and then leave them there to slowly die.

They can produce anchor webs in the real world and in digital reality. They are capable of entering cyberspace directly - and/or bringing whoever they like with them. So long as the person is compatible with their brand of Manifold web. Many Weavers make a business of offering travel into and out of cyberspace. However, organic bodies still require sustenance, which cannot be found in cyberspace. Atmosphere suits are also required for staying within cyberspace, if a biological body expects to be able to breathe. Atmosphere suits are commonly made from Manifold fibers, for maximum compatibility. Staying too long in cyberspace leads to death for organic bodies.

They're synths, but they need to eat! Their body's absurdly high cell replication comes with a high caloric cost. And their food isn't simply organic material. They require a specially crafted cyber-organic slurry. Bio-gel. They need to consume a quarter of their body weight per day in order to sustain themselves properly.

They can't take many physical hits to their chassis. Low durability against melee blows. Similarly - they are not very strong physically. They cannot inflict much physical damage with their own melee attacks. Far more suited to trapping enemies in webs and evading with their high speed.

They can easily be sent into a hypnotic trance by even the most basic means. A simple flashing light pattern will work. A cliche hypnotic-spiral wheel. A swinging pendulum. Rhythmic chanting. All of these things will send them into a catatonic state, until the stimuli is stopped. They cannot be brainwashed this way, however.

Due to the fact that his primary means for eliminating enemies is dragging them into his personal Manifold Subspace - a problem arises when the enemy he drags in is an immortal. The more immortal enemies left alive and trapped within the Manifold Subspace - the more dangerous it becomes for him to traverse the subspace.
